SNAP-Ed U Agenda (draft – updated 8/15/17)
SNAP-Ed University is a required training for all MFF Partners (subrecipients) and MSU Extension SNAP-Ed staff to ensure they have the knowledge, tools, and support they need to successfully implement, evaluate, and report their SNAP-Ed interventions. MFF Partner organizations may send two people; if you would like to send more than two people, please contact your MFF SNAP-Ed Project Manager for approval before registering. MSU Extension staff should check with the state office regarding attendance requirements.
MFF Partner Program Staff
All lead program managers must attend all required sessions at SNAP-Ed University from 10:00 a.m.- 4:45 p.m. on August 23 and 8:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m. on August 24. Optional sessions will begin on August 24 at 12:45 p.m. Office hours are optional and will be available by appointment (see below).
MFF Partner Finance Staff
MFF finance staff are welcome to attend SNAP-Ed University and are not required to attend.
SNAP-Ed University is not designed for evaluators, nutrition educators, or other on-the-ground implementers.
If you would like hotel accommodations, please contact the Kellogg Center at (517) 432-4000 and identify that you are part of the “Michigan Fitness Foundation” group. You will need to provide a credit card to hold your room. MFF Partners, after you check in, your room charge and parking (not incidentals) will be moved to the MFF Master Bill. MSU Extension staff, your credit cards will be charged for your room and parking. To ensure a room at the Kellogg Center, make your reservation before July 21st when the room block will be released. If you make your reservation after July 21st and are told there are no rooms left for the Michigan Fitness Foundation event, contact Pamela Bartig at email@example.com or (517) 908-3860 and you will be given information for an alternate hotel. If you are a “no show” for your room, your credit card will be charged and this expense cannot be reimbursed through SNAP-Ed. Rooms must be cancelled at least 48 hours in advance to prevent being charged as a “no show.”
MFF Office Hours
MFF Office Hours are optional. When you register, you may schedule a 30-, 45-, or 60-minute meeting with MFF staff. If you register for office hours, the date, time, and location will be sent in your confirmation email approximately one week before SNAP-Ed U. Please note: due to the number of requests, we may not be able to accommodate the date and time you requested. We will contact you if we need to offer you an alternate day or time.
Trainings hosted by the Michigan Nutrition Network at Michigan Fitness Foundation welcome participants from MFF SNAP-Ed Partners, projects and others who work with SNAP-Ed.
